2021 Challenge
I’m tired of this year. It’s been a long, rough, and difficult year in the least.
Time and time again we are hit with struggles, each one greater than the one before. From unity problems to financial problems to health problems, this year has had it all.
I’m done living like this. I’m done relying on the world’s circumstances to define my emotions. I’m done basing my happiness & enjoyment of life on reality. I can no longer live this way, and I’m afraid I’m not alone.
“External things are not the problem. It’s your assessment of them. Which you can erase right now” – Marcus Aurelius
I’m starting a challenge on Dec. 1. A challenge for anyone who feels unsatisfied, bored, and/ or let down with life. A chance to jumpstart who you want to be.
I’m calling this challenge the 2021 Challenge; 20 because I believe only 20% of the population could finish this, and 21, for 21 days, the duration of the challenge. These are the guidelines:
- Wake up before 6 AM
- Drink 1 Gallon
- Workout for a minimum of 1 hour
- Follow a fast/ diet*
- Record in a Daily Journal**
NO BREAKS, CHEAT MEALS, OR TIME OFF FOR 7 DAYS A WEEK, 3 WEEKS.
This is the challenging part. If you truly want to become 100% of your capability, you must be willing to give up everything. To be fully, 100% committed, with every cell in your body.
If this doesn’t sound like you, or you are willing to accept an average life, carry on. I’m not here to waste your time.
If you wish to partake in the challenge, send me a dm by the end of the day, I’ll give you info about it.
*This isn’t some easy everyday thing that you do. This is a commitment to getting yourself out of a funk. This is a challenge not only to yourself but to those around you. This is a chance to prove who you are & what you are made of.
*The fasting/ dietary part of this challenge is key. The idea of limiting foods is a mental submission, a change to your habitual routine of eating. This is a snap out of your typical day-to-day and gets you in the mentality we want. But when doing this, be smart, do not jump straight into a diet or fast without thinking about it, or consulting your doctor. It can be anything, small or large, but it has to impact your daily life. Think about cutting out sweets, sugary drinks, extra snacks as a starter. If you are serious about results, perhaps think about keto.., whole 30.., or fasting. Fasting will be by far the most difficult, especially depending on what you are fasting, and/ or time frame (ex. day to night fast).
**A daily journal is exactly what it sounds like. If you haven’t done this in the past, or dislike doing it, perhaps you haven’t tried a way that works. The list below is a few ways I’ve tried it and made it work, or you can just google morning/ night journals.
- Tim Ferriss – Morning Pages
- 5-Minute journal App
- Gratitude Journal Ideas
- Personal: I do mine on note cards. First, in the morning, I create small daily goals I shoot for. Today, for example, was: Do Morning & Night Routine, Complete weekly school work, Keep God on my mind and Laugh hard 5+ times today. On the back, I can add some smaller goals if I need them. At night I’ll go back through and either give a check or an X if I completed my goals, then write 1-2 sentences about how I won & lost at the day. The focus is on a daily perspective and reflection on how I can improve.
If you have any questions at all, please let me know. I’m ready to help in any way I can. Let’s get after it.
